For developers — MCP & API

Connect VerifyThink MCP in Cursor — choose hosted (no local install) or local (ReasonService on your machine).

Product catalogs: marketplace — ready assistant packs; PromptHub — prompt templates (bots, scripts, sites).

Setup in 3 steps

  1. Sign in and create an API key in your account cabinet (vt_… prefix).
  2. Pick hosted or local MCP below — both use the same reason_plan → code → verify cycle.
  3. Paste the JSON into Cursor → Settings → MCP (or use «Add to Cursor» for local).
Hosted

Hosted MCP

Streamable HTTP on our server — no npx, works from any machine. Paste your vt_… key into the JSON.

Add to Cursor (hosted)

Replace vt_YOUR_API_KEY with the key from your cabinet. Keys are shown once at creation.

Local

Local MCP

npx verithink-mcp + ReasonService on 127.0.0.1:8787 — one instance for all Cursor projects on this PC.

Quick install

npx -y verithink-mcp

ReasonService on 127.0.0.1:8787 — one instance for all Cursor projects.

Add to Cursor (local)

Requires ReasonService running locally (./scripts/start-local.ps1).

API key security

Subscription (grant) vs API key

An admin may enable Pro/Max for your account — that is not the secret you paste into Cursor. You still create a vt_… key in the cabinet (or use one issued by support).

If your key is compromised

1) Cabinet → API keys → Rotate (new secret, old stops immediately) or Revoke + create new. 2) Update Authorization in Cursor MCP settings. 3) If unsure, revoke all keys and issue a fresh one.

Get API key in cabinet · Key lifecycle (grant vs key)

Grant (subscription) and API key (secret) are separate steps.

The MCP reasoning cycle

Do not use mcp-sampling in Cursor — it does not work. Prefer hosted MCP or local with openai provider.
